Black Violin tickets

Houston! All my 713 warriors! How many of us like the violin? How many of us love black music?? There’s tons of Stereotypes about the type of folks you expect to see when you go on tour to see a symphonic concerto. But whether its a violin string or a guitar riff - there’s no judgement over here, especially when we have the Showoffs from Black Violin taking the stage!

What is a Black Violin? An instrument, a concept, a group of seasoned musicians going on tour this autumn - and all of us are invited to the show they’re having here in Houston! On Sunday, November 2nd, you can catch the Black Violin crew right here at 713 as they celebrate twenty years of making hip hop classical - and you just gotta be there.

The 2025 Full Circle Tour is gonna be a classic - and a great way to celebrate 20 years of the OG boys to do it. Passes for the night are on sale now and starting at $91. Grab your OGs from your high school orchestra crew - and maybe even your college homies you went to all those underground cyphers with. And let’s have the best night ever this November!

2025 Full Circle Tour

Grab your bows and get your A-Flats ready! Cause when Black Violin takes the stage - we all run right over and get ready to listen to what they have in store next for us all. Formed in Florida and friends from the very beginning, the group - composed of Classically Trained instrumentalists Kevin Sylvester and Wilner Baptiste - have always been an exciting and groundbreaking duo, and we’re so excited to welcome them here to the stage this November as they celebrate their legacy after twenty years of taking their hobby bigtime. On Sunday November 2nd, 713 Music Hall will welcome the Violeners as they embark on their 2025 Full Circle Tour - and they’re planning to hit stops all over the country, too. With dates and orchestral-esque concerts planned in Kansas, The Lexington Opera House, Indiana’s Palladium, the Tarrytown Music Hall, Atlanta’s Symphony Hall, the Hoyt Place in Des Moines, and of course - right here in the 713.

Black Violin has humble beginnings. They met at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, where they met during performing arts classes and shared a lot of the same teachers. Will B started on the Viola, and Kev Marcus a violinist - though neither of them really wanted to start on the instruments to begin with, though they both opened a lot of doors with the instruments they eventually ended up loving more than loathing. Their name came from Stuff Smith’s album with the same name. And after meeting Alicia Keys’ manager once, they soon began opening up for the mega artists and assisting as back up for her intricate productions. They wanted to be many things as they fantasized their own come-up: but more than anything, they have always wanted to make immersive sounds and music. Kev once said "Our mantra has always been to engage the audience to look at things from a different perspective...At first, we leaned on the fact that we were different —more than on our technique. We wanted you to be confused. This time, we tried to keep our core message, but with more gravitas: more seriousness. Not just be crazy and different, but really step it up and be badass violinists,” - and now, that they definitely are. They have released six critically acclaimed albums, and have opened up an entirely new and eclectic lane for all black musicians who want to take the same route as they have. Sometimes confusing but overall true to them - you can be who you want to be, and Black Violin are the living breathing representation of that.

Get ready to transcend! Get ready to have the best time all year! And get your tickets ASAP, we can’t wait to see you soon - right here at 713!
