The Fire Blood, uh, Tits Ice Balls show! Ok, maybe let's try "The Amonklok Conquest!"
An insane spectacle awaits, bringing together the thunderous Norse mythology of Sweden’s premier melodic death metal act, Amon Amarth, the animated-turned-actual dominance of the world’s most famous fictional band, Dethklok, and some real-life theatrical doom from Castle Rat. It's The Amonklok Conquest coming to 713 Music Hall on Saturday, 18th April 2026.
Kick your night of mayhem and madness off with a full-pitched battle (in real armor and with real swords) between the Rat Queen and the Rat Reaperess to the sounds of "Wolf," "Siren," and "The Wizard" from Castle Rat. Then you're into your first of two headline shows with the band from the floating fortress, Mordhaus, with "Awaken," "Thunderhorse," and "Murmaider." And finally, Amon Amarth hits you with "Twilight of the Thunder God," "Guardians of Asgaard," and get your rowing pit weathertight for "Put Your Back into the Oar."
Tickets are out right now over at TicketSqueeze, get yours starting at $89.
Two huge headliners, Amon Amarth and Dethklok, both delivering full sets during The Amonklok Conquest tour in 2026, hitting major venues across the US and Canada. Expect a "battle of the stages," with Amon Amarth’s massive Viking sets competing against Dethklok’s immersive video animations, oh, and cool crossover Amonklok merch! Plus theatrical doom band Castle Rat provides support for the tour.
From Tumba, Sweden, the melodic death metal band (yup, really, they're not Viking metal) Amon Amarth are named after Mount Doom in J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings (the name in elvish, rather than Swedish or English, obviously). They have been nominated for multiple Swedish Grammis.
A virtual band from the Adult Swim animated series Metalocalypse featuring Nathan Explosion (vocals), Skwisgaar Skwigelf (lead guitar), Toki Wartooth (rhythm guitar), William Murderface (bass), and Pickles (drums), created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha. In reality, the music is written and performed by Brendon Small (vocals/guitar), Gene "The Atomic Clock" Hoglan (drums), Bryan Beller (bass), and Mike Keneally (guitar).
A "fantasy-doom" band from Brooklyn, NYC, hitting the stage in full medieval regalia to tell the story of "The Rat Queen." They came to the attention of the world when their Kickstarter campaign for their second album, The Bestiary, reached their goal in just 37 minutes.
Built inside the old Barbara Jordan Post Office, this awesome 5,000-person indoor venue is one of Houston's premier mid-sized concert halls. In a nod to Houston’s "Space City" it features a 90,000-square-foot lobby and bar draped in aluminized fabric heat shields and other eclectic furniture. Also try to grab a bite before the show from the Post Market right outside the venue doors.
The site was once a major USPS sorting facility, so there's plenty of rooftop and surface parking available, and it acts as a central hub for Houston’s North Downtown (NoDo) district, with easy access to the MetroRail and Buffalo Bayou Park.
