So - who exactly IS JJ?! And what does he know about music anyway?! Born right here in Houston about 5 decades ago, Je’Caryous Johnson is one of those rare creatives who doesn’t just produce shows - he builds moments for all us in the crowd. A powerhouse playwright, director, producer, and visionary of all things magical that can happen on a theatre stage, Je’Caryous has spent years shaping the live entertainment world through bold stage adaptations - first starting as an intern and student of the game over in Hollywood, then moving BACK to Houston to start his own theatrical production company - and, the rest is history from there folks. His work consistently celebrates African American artistry that builds in classic narratives and shows us music that shapes generations. And that passion and dedication is exactly how The Greatest Love Singers Tribute Show come to life. Designed as a Valentine’s Day celebration of timeless romance, iconic voices, and the songs that define love, this special one-night showcase is going to remind us all what it means to be lovely, with hits from the Houston’s to The Suffers to Archie Bell and so many more - so YEAH, you’re gonna want to be here for all we have in store folks.
