HOUUUSTOOONNN - it’s FINALLY the Spring time and y’all should KNOW how we’re coming! Grab your strings, shine up those brass bells and studded belts, and get your fits together - ‘cause when Orchestra Noir hits the stage, the whole city shows up for a Friday night vibe - that’s a definite! On Friday, April 3rd, the 713 is transforming into an orchestral block party as Orchestra Noir brings their 2026 Culture 2000 Tour to town — a one-night-only celebration of Black music, Black excellence, and the entire R&B Y2K era that shaped our generation. If you know their shows, then you already know: this isn’t your grandma’s symphony, it’s a whole party people! And the group is GOING places this season folks - including Alabama the NOLA Florida and Birmingham - the 713 is smashed right in the middle of it all, so we get to see them at the PEAK of the tour: how lucky! 

Orchestra Noir was founded in Atlanta back in 2016 by the Maestro Jason Ikeem Rodgers - who grew up a conductor, composer, and visionary that wanted to create an orchestra that reflected the culture he grew up in. The group is the first all–African-American orchestra of its kind in America, and they’ve built a lane entirely their own by fusing classical technique with classic hip-hop, R&B, soul, and trap tracks - and the entire musical DNA of the culture over the last 30 years. And trust us: their rise has been fast, loud, filled with laughs and love, and very well deserved. They’ve been featured on award shows, collaborated with rap and R&B heavyweights, sold out venues across the country, and earned a dedicated fanbase who know their arrangements and go HARD in the crowd every single time.

And that’s what makes Orchestra Noir so beautiful - they honor the past to bring the sounds to new and experienced ears in the present, and shift the future of what orchestral music CAN be for folks like us. Their shows are built on all the hits you and the fam knows from the 90s and 2000s, true. But even more than that - every arrangement is uniquely composed, reimagined, and performed with the kind of gravitas and flair that only a full orchestra can deliver. Think string sections turning Neptunes beats into cinematic scores for all our favorite montage moments. Think brass lines and strings R&B hooks and fitting into Bad and Boujee. Imagine Future’s Mask Off with a Saxophone and Flute. Think timpanis booming under your favorite Y2K club anthems. It’s that kind of night - and that’s why we need you hear for it all when it goes down!
